Tree Felling

Tree felling (or straight tree felling) is the removal of a tree in its entirety. It is the option that many people choose if there is, for example, a tree blocking light into a neighbour’s garden. Straight tree felling can only be carried out in areas where a falling tree cannot damage buildings or the public, and in this process, the tree, in its entirety, will be taken down (including the taking out of the stump), leaving a flat space in its place.

The tree felling process carried out by our professional tree fellers involves the use of felling wedges and pruning ropes to ensure that the tree is felled safely and in a controlled manner, in the right direction.

Sectional Felling

Sectional felling is the alternative to straight felling when a whole tree needs to be removed. This method is used when it is not safe to fell the tree in one go – when there is the potential for damage to property or the public. Sectional felling involves removal of the tree in sections. It is dismantled and then lowered down using a lowering rope.

Again, once the tree has been removed, a flat space will be left, giving our customers the freedom to use the area as they wish.

Stump Removal

Tree stumps can be unsightly and, frankly, get in the way. If you have previously had a tree felled, without the stump removed, or perhaps have removed your own smaller tree, our tree stump removal services are what you need. Once our excellent tree surgeons have removed the stump, the space will be available for returfing, replanting, or other activities.

Our expert tree surgeons use grinders to grind the stump to the ground, grinding it into sawdust that can then be easily used or recycled.
